I’m always amazed by all of the things that happen in a year.  365 days.  And yet it feels like it was only ten days.

I am particularly amazed and proud of 2019.  So much change was happening in my life.  I was a brand new mom transitioning to a stay at home mother.  I have no doubt in my mind that this is what I am supposed to be doing in my life right now, but it was still such a big change.  I went from working 40 hours a week as a registered nurse as well as growing my wedding photography business, to caring for a newborn- all the while also having my busiest wedding season to date.

2019 feels a little like a blur.  Between sleep deprivation and staying busy in my business, it’s amazing that I came out seemingly unscathed.  I truly enjoyed each wedding I was a part of and can’t help but beam with joy when reminiscing on all of the beautiful images.  It’s so easy to get caught up in the comparison game.  I scroll through Instagram and see all of the beautiful images people are putting out there and I start to feel unworthy. Not enough.  But as I worked on this post, I started swelling with pride.  I love these images.  I love these people.

I had the opportunity to shoot at The Toledo Country Club twice between Chris and Amber and Scott and Jordan.  I absolutely love how versatile that venue is.  You can choose between indoor and outdoor for both your ceremony and reception.  I also started and ended my wedding season at the classic Nazareth Hall  with Evan and Haleigh and Jeff and Lauren.  Coincidentally, both weddings at Nazareth Hall had rain almost the entire day- which definitely challenged me as a photographer.  But we came away with so many beautiful images and my confidence in dealing with difficult shooting scenarios has just continued to grow.

It’s hard to encapsulate a whole year’s worth of work into one blog post, but if you’re a Cliff note’s person like me, this is the perfect one for you.  Ten weddings.  Many amazing vendors.  It’s all here.  Enjoy- and happy 2020!
