This is definitely the earliest start of a wedding season to date for me. And no matter how many weddings I’ve done or how long it’s been since the last one, I always get the first-wedding-of-the-season jitters. But it’s a good thing. It keeps me humble and reminds me how important this job is. I’m literally in charge of preserving memories.
I can’t imagine planning a wedding long distance. But Haleigh did just that and managed to pull it off quite seamlessly. Neither of them are from this area, but they found the beautiful Nazareth Hall to be a happy medium for both sides of their families, friends, and their fellow Michigan State Spartans.
And in true fashion, it was a typical Northwest Ohio March spring day- rainy and chilly. But at the end of the day, what did it matter? These two were surrounded by all of the people they love the most to support them in the start of their forever. Not to mention these two braved the rain for their portrait session. And by the looks of these images- totally worth it right!? Can we also talk about the sweet, emotional images of her dad as she thanked him for being the example of what she wanted in a husband. I know it took all of my hormonal, new-mom self not to lose it! Evan’s sweet spirit and just watching him interact with Haleigh and even his mom showed me how much he cherishes his family and his bride. What a joy it was to capture these memories!
