Oh spring.  You are finally here- and that makes this photographer happy.

When it comes to shooting, winter is my off season.  In Northwest Ohio, it’s cold, it’s dark, it’s dead.  With the exception of the few wintery sessions I did this past January (which, when there is snow, it actually is quite beautiful) the camera is stowed away for the season while I work behind the scenes on the nitty gritty things of running a small business- aka, tax season- you are no fun.

But finally- that spring glow.  It was still on the chilly side for this engagement session- but that light!  Ah, what a breath of fresh air!  Lauren looked absolutely stunning for their engagement session.  And Jeff was very intentional about making sure her visions for their session came to life.  He mentioned that they had already did a little bit of location scouting for their session and remembered the spots that Lauren had mentioned she would like to be photographed in.  Good man!  These two got engaged at Middlegrounds Metropark in Toledo, so it was only fitting that we return for what turned out to be such a beautiful engagement session!  And since the flowers haven’t bloomed quite yet, we visited this awesome floral mural downtown for some of our backdrop- kudos to Lauren for this great idea!

When I met these two, they told me how they “just knew” once they started dating that this was it and that they didn’t want to waste any time.  So September, here we come!  I’m so happy for these two!
