It may have been a little quiet around here for the last few months, but there has certainly been a lot going on. In fact, it’s been quite the contrary. With a newborn that made his appearance in November, life has been anything but quiet.
It’s crazy how in one day your life can change so drastically. You go from being completely independent to taking care of this tiny human who is completely dependent on you. For a woman on the go, this can be a little challenging. But when I look at those big blue eyes and squishy pillow cheeks, I know I need to take this time to slow down and soak it all in. So that’s what I’ve been doing.
For wedding industry professionals, January through March is typically dubbed “slow season”. A time of reflection on the past year and preparation for the new one. And while I am enjoying my fair share of baby snuggles (oh, and lots of cries too), I’m also anticipating an amazing new year. Starting with this engagement session.
David and Jennette are making it official in June. And since they were a tad late in the game, they wanted to make sure they got their engagement session in to get those save-the-dates out. January in Ohio is usually quite frigid. So gorgeous morning light and 35 degrees at 9:30 in the morning and you might as well consider it a warm front. Can we talk about Jennette’s style for a second here though? This is exactly what I encourage my couples to do for their engagement sessions. Dress it up! From a super cute hat to a drop-dead gorgeous gown, I was feeling all giddy behind my lens just thinking “if this is the engagement session, I can’t wait for wedding day!” Okay, so lets not wish time away. I’m enjoying my little babe for now. But I sure am excited for June!
So gorgeous! It was hard to choose but my favorite one is where she’s rocking that red gown and leaning back glancing towards the camera.
I think I have to agree with you! <3
