I remember thinking during my own engagement (which in my opinion, 18 months was WAY too long) that it would be “forever” until our actual wedding day came. But just like that, 18 months flew by and now here I am four years later wondering where the heck time went. The same is true now as a wedding photographer. I meet most of my couples a year to 18 months in advance and their wedding date seems so far in the future- only for it to come and go so quickly!
It’s been eight months since my last wedding. It’s weird how it feels like that was both so long ago and yet also feels like yesterday. I’ve been chomping at the bit for the start of my 2018 wedding season and could not have found a better way to hit the ground running than with Jake and Samantha’s wedding. These two are the epitome of “dream couple.” Not only did Samantha have some of the prettiest and intimate details, these two are just the most genuine, sweet people to be around. Even their bridal party was a reflection of their character. I can honestly say I have never had a more fun-loving- and cooperative 😛 – bunch of people to work with!
One of my favorite details was Samantha’s bracelet that housed a piece of her grandma’s wedding dress! And of course, those killer Badgley Mischka shoes can steal any show. Her stunning Justin Alexander gown from Belle Amour Bridal fit her figure to a tee and Jake’s suit from Men’s Wearhouse was perfectly tailored to him. It’s so amazing to see our local vendors’ work come together to one cohesive brand that our couple envisioned for their wedding day. Some of their other vendors included:
Florals: Hafner Florist
Videographer: Fordham Footage
Cake: Cakes by Stephanie
Hair and Makeup: Beauty Bar
Limo Service: Birmingham Limousine
Thank you Jake and Samantha for allowing me to document the best day ever! I feel so blessed to have been a part of it. Enjoy the rest of your honeymoon!
So beautiful and timeless! I love the way they styled the cupcakes around the cake. All the photos are gorgeous. Great job! xo
Thanks so much Cassandra! It was such a beautiful day all around!
