It’s been a while, I know. I took an unintentional but necessary hiatus from blogging. But don’t worry, my September is going to be super active.. so get ready! Starting with these two cuties’ engagement session.
So about that hiatus. Basically from the beginning of July to just now, I had a dry season. And while this is not something I would normally hope for, it actually worked out wonderfully when I found out I needed surgery on my knee. Nothing too serious, but it did require a decent recovery period which this break in bookings allowed me to have. And now that I’m at about 80% recovered, I’m ready to take on this busy fall season in full swing!
I met with Taylor a few months back for a consultation. She had found me from a past wedding I had done at Nazareth Hall, which is where her and fiance Alan will be tying the knot next June. Our conversation just warmed my dear photographer heart when she enthusiastically explained to me what she loved about my style and how she just knew I had to photograph their wedding. Nothing makes me more happy than to know my clients are seeking me out for the style I deliver!
Saturday night was the perfect night for an engagement session at the Toledo Museum of Art. The more I shoot in downtown Toledo, the more I am loving the location and variety of spots there are to shoot at. Their favorite part was climbing up on the massive tire swing, which reminded them of another time early in their relationship that they swung in another (and not so massive) tire swing. Nothing better than a little dose of nostalgia during your engagement session!
