What do you get when your couple is willing to do a sunrise session early on a Sunday morning? A gorgeous engagement session and the park basically to yourselves! I was so excited when Joe and Brittany were game for getting up super early on a Sunday to do their engagement session. And, if I may say so myself, we had a blast!
Joseph and Brittany first met when they worked together at Steak ‘N Shake (Fresco melt for the win! Who’s with me?) They have since gotten engaged, bought a house, and are planning their June wedding, which I am so thrilled to be a part of! Oh, and we can’t forget their golden retriever Daisy, who made her debut at their engagement session as well (and almost costed us a ticket from the park- but you gotta do what ya gotta do!)
My first encounter via email was a little different from my normal inquiries. I typically am contacted by the bride, but in this case Joe was the one who initiated communication. As a woman and a wedding photographer, I tend to be very bride oriented as they are usually the ones involved with all the details. Grooms typically stay in the background supporting their future brides’ decision making for the wedding (good practice for marriage by the way 😛 ) However, I really appreciate the fact that Joe has actively involved himself in the planning!
I’m not going to lie, at first I questioned “Why in the world did I schedule a session at 8:00 am on a Sunday morning?” But after spending my morning with these two, I not only had NO regrets, but also became SO excited to shoot their wedding next year! These two are so sweet and I love how they laugh together! Their smiles are so genuine and remind me of the images I LOVE and strive to capture- Genuine, Timeless, and Captivating.
Hello! Cool post, amazing!!!
